PROFIT/MOTIVE:
Like it or not business is in business to make a profit and I'm 100% back their claim to make money Our country and our economy is based on the free market system of making money. That's what makes our country the most powerful country in the free world. HOWEVER, at what point does business make business decisions that are ethically unsound. From my research, the Pet Food Industry violates every ethical value that I can think of when it comes to providing food for our dogs. Yes, these multinationals have millions of dollars to hire the best law firms, experts veterinarians, lobbying firms, advertisement and marketing. But, if you think about it, why hire all these firms and organization unless they have a strategic plan to maximize their profits unethically by any means? I mean, in my opinion, the CEO of these corporations should own a dog and so what would they want to feed their dog? Think of all the monies they would save from hiring all these firms to represent the corporations best interest. Millions and millions of dollars allocated! Give the consumer what you as a CEO would give your dog and you'd make more profit without compromising food quality. Aah, their argument is how do they reduce costs? Now these CEO's are graduates of the most prestigious schools in the country, but common sense supercede any advance education. Choose a tougher grade of meat, don't you think so? Considering the fact that all dogs come from the Wolf, the meat of live killed animals were chewed upon based on their carnivore style teeth used to rip and tear their meat apart? |
