Sizzling Bombay Northern Indian Restaurant
is located on Edmonton rd, Bel Air, MD. This restaurant is the perfect example of great service, great menu selection and a class act from a cleanliness standpoint. You are greeted as you come in, brought to the table with a fresh table cloth. Refreshing ice water is served knowing that the temperature outside overbearing. There is a sense of relaxation, whether its the calming atmosphere. It's perfect. The menu selection is typical of Northern Indian food, appetizers are always a delight. I love the fried Samosa meet filled or you can choose curried peas and potato. First impression is that the samosas are gigantic. Samosas are my favorite. Feel free to dip them in the mint, tamarind or onion chutney condiment. These condiments are made for the thinly fried paper chips. Delicious! My all time favorite are the curries. Now I know I mentioned curries but to say it mildly, you need to acquire a taste for curries. My favorite curry is Korma with lamb. The Korma curry is a mixture of a creamy sauce with garan marsala, almond flavor and its up to you regarding spiciness. I like mine medium. The lamb comes in medium cube shape but very tender. Highly recommend this curry for the novice. it will be a mixture of both sweet and mildly spicy but most of all savory. it's served with Basmatic rice in a metal fancy container. You need to also order the Indian bread called Naan. Naan is made by placing the dough against the wall of the brick oven as it is cooked at high temperature. Tired of ordinary bread, try naan. Comes in garlic too. Try the Indian Brand Kingfish Beer. They serve it in a frosted mug and the beer is truly cold! I felt like whenever I enter the Sizzling Bombay to eat,I am treated with the highest respect and professional service given to any customer. RATING: EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE AND FOOD. TRY EVERYTHING! The Orient Restaurant in Bel Air, MD
This restaurant is my all time favorite. I know the owner David Huang. His restaurant specializes in Chinese American food and sometimes he does get authentic Chinese vegetables being offered. You would have to ask the waiter if they receivd a shipment. The Orient also specializes in Japanese Sushi. When we talk Sushi, its important that the sushi is fresh and multiple times I ordered sushi or sashimi, there has been a clean flavor and chilled. Great value for the sashimi deluxe for dinner. The dinner comes with Miso soup with pieces of tofu and seaweed. The restaurant is very clean and service is very professional. Next time I will be ordering some Chinese American food and believe me its great too! Read about other reviews at www.chefwoocan.com RATING: EXCELLENT |
