Review of Costco Products (Pre-packaged frozen Lamb Shank with Rosemary and Mint Reduction)
The other day I visited Costco to see the optical department but my insurance was considered out of network. Soo, while I was there as a new member, there was so much to explore. For me, going to any food establishment is very relaxing. During the weekday, is the best time and as I made my way to the seafood and meats department, which they have great prices, I came across the pre-packaged foods and to my surprise I saw lamb shanks precooked with a rosemary and mint reduction. 2lamb shanks for $16. Great price but the true test is how tasty and tender it could be. Got home, defrosted one of the lamb shanks and followed the instructions by placing on a aluminum foil and baking it covered and the last 15 minutes uncovered. Made some yellow rice and a veggie. Here goes it! well, the meat was so tender it fell off the bone, great, then the sauce was perfect, not too salty and no too sweet, I tasted the rosemary and a touch of mint, it was excellent. One portion was good enough for me. Am I surprised at what Costco offers as good quality, I wasn't surprised at all. Good bargain prices for good quality items. On a scale of 1-10, I give the lamb shank a 10. Good price and good quality. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves lamb. Yes, there is a slight gamey taste but we're talking lamb. They go hand in hand. By Chef Woo Can at www.chefwoocan.com #costcoproductreview, #Chefwoocanfoodreview, #prepackagedlambshank, |
