Corporate America wants us to go out to eat as much as we can. Selling good food that taste good and service with a smile. They (Corporate) want to have a restaurant in your local neighborhood across the country. The problem with Corporate Fast Food is they have shareholders that they must make happy by showing profit. What does that mean, control expenses. How do you control expenses? Well let's see, the most tender meat has the most flavor but is very expensive. But what if they can secure tough grades of meat which is much cheaper, tenderize it so its super tender give it some flavor (salt and sugar) and who knows what else they throw in, and use clever marketing to make it look tasty and delicious. They add cheese for everything to provide flavor especially on fish which is probably farm raised (you never add cheese to fish), fry anything that can be fried. The worse is vegetables, they boil the veggies until its soggy. No wonder no one like vegetables.
Salt enhances flavor not overpower the flavor. We now eat out so much that our bodies are use to all that salt. Danger Danger High blood pressure.
