It's my responsibility as Chef Woo Can to inform my fellow foodies of some medicinal anecdotes that you my not heard of to reduce inflammation of your joints and muscles. As we get older, we we try to change our eating habits but some can't. Those who can't and I'm sure you know who you are will experience inflammation of the joints called arthritis. It' the inflammation that causes the stiffness and pain. So what do we do, we grab that bottle of Advil or Alleve to reduce pain and swelling.
Chef Woo Can recommends a more natural way to reduce inflammation, but first, you need to really try to cut down on the following:
-Sugar: avoid "added" sugar, high fructose corn syrup, soda including diet, white bread, white pasta, cakes
-Prepackaged foods that say "low salt"
It will be tough but do it gradually since the body will go into withdrawals, then wait a week to allow your body to purify itself.
Then do this:
-Drink water everyday
-Eat fresh fruits
-Start eating Greek yogurt with fruit preserve it you need to. Plain is better with a little honey or incorporate yogurt in your cooking sauces.
-Start eating avocado, like guacamole and some onion and tomatoes or have slices in your sandwich or a spread on wheat toast.
-Add tumeric to your dishes. This is used mainly for all natural yellow/orange color but also provides relief for aches and pains.
For anyone that has joint pain, try a cup of plain yogurt with a little fruit and wait a fe minutes and you'll see a big difference. No joint inflammation.
versus, drink soda and you'll feel stiffness in your joints.
So remember, YOGURT, TUMERIC and AVOCADO are NATURAL INFLAMMATION BUSTERS
