Food Tourism New York City
I often wonder why many would love to travel around the world of course to see alot of sightseeing while enjoying the local cuisine. I'd like to introduce you to New York City, a city with diversified cultural heritage and pride in all parts of the city. It's definitely a melting pot of culture, and food. It's so beautiful for foodies that love all sorts of food. From one block to the other, you can go from Thai cuisine to Pakistani cuisine. Yes, alot of these pla es aren't exactly glamourous, but the food is to kill for. You know, when you are a true foodie, a hole in the wall place has the best foods. They are more focused on the food. Food in the world is perceived differently than how we think food should be. It's a matter of their pride. As simple as a dumpling, the pride that went into making that dumpling is everything, especially if the dumpling recipe has changed over the years. It's a reflection of national pride. What do we have is our hamburger. We take pride in how our burgers are made, the right kind of meat, the taste and the doneness along with the right bun and food accessories. The idea of skimping on essential ingredients is unheard of, the thought of substituting a ingredient is unheard of. Of, course it does happen to some vendors but generally speaking, its a no no. So, New York City, brought over Europeans looking for a better life, they had nothing when they came ashore. in a foreign land. Not knowing the English language, what was their comfort in a foreign land. It was their food. Food was the glue that kept the family together. As simple as the meals were, they flavor simple. That was their staple meal. They only purchased what they could afford. Then through the years, decades and generations, these same recipes were handed down to each generation. With little changes made to the recipe, these same dishes now are revered today as traditional meals. Whether its Asian, European, Latin American, these dishes were the best. Today, at every corner, you'll have Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Pakistani, Spanish, Mexican, Jewish, Polish, Greek food. Why travel overseas? but today, it's not the safest place to go. With violent crime, mugging, assault may may you think twice. My view is you only live once and I'm not going to let these idiots hold me back from keeping interesting foods that I'll discover. At least I'll have my friends with me and we'll go to good areas in the daytime. Obviously, there's never a guarantee no matter how much precautions are taken but the show must go on. So, as I plan my schedule, I will share with you where, the name of the establishment, the type of cuisine and the location and the price. #foodtourism, NYCfoodcuisines, #traditionalfoodsinNYC, #Traditionalfoodsinexpensive, #foodsalloverworldinNYC, #thebigapplefoods #immigrantdeliciousfood, #chefwoocan Chef Woo Can
