Millennial So Easy Drunken Shrimp
This dish is so simple. All you need to purchase is Shao Shing Wine and head on shrimp with shell. Shrimp with the head on? Yes, did you know that in New Orleans, they have something called crayfish boil. Mini lobsters boiled in well seasoned Cajun spices. Then you proceed to pull the head off and suck the delicious juices in the head. Shrimps are no different, All the flavor leaks out is so juicy and delicious.
I recommend these types of shrimp. and a steamer is needed. They are very similar to crayfish. Their sweeter but if you are not comfortable, then choose the headless shrimp but should be raw and not cooked. with shell on. The shell holds the flavor and enhances the shrimp experience.
Ok, now take the shrimp in a bowl, add shao shing wine and allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
Get a wide pot with cover or a steamer and place a shallow bowl and add shrimp to it and steam for about 10 minutes. You'd rather have tender shrimp meat than over cooking the shrimp where it will be like a rubber consistency. YOU DON'T WANT THAT!!!!!!!!
Then add some soy sauce in a little dish to dip shrimp in or some sriracha sauce mixed with a dash of shao shing wine as another dipping sauce.
Take the shrimp and pull the head off and suck the juices in the head. There is some meat there too so bit the head a little bit. Then peel the shell off the shrimp and dip it in the sriracha dipping sauce and then the soy sauce.
NOTE: You could add garlic powder to the shao shing wine marinating solution
There, you accomplished creating a delicious dish.
