Millennial Ramen Noodles Creations
Everyone has tried Ramen noodles sometime in their life. Pre fried noodles with a flavor packet in many flavors and various degrees of hotness.
Yes, if you have ramen noodles everyday, its bad for you. Everything in moderation is ok.
I want to show you that you can add a few things to make it a delicious meal with some protein and veggies. Today, some ramen noodle packets include small dehydrated pieces of egg, scallion and some flavored shrimp paste pieces. To be honest, I'd rather add my own stuff. So this is what you need. Package of sliced carrots, broccoli crowns, some left over chicken or beef, a small pkg of shrimp. Your choice to and creativity, fresh stalk of scallion, smashed garlic, fresh ginger and fresh cilantro. These are my suggestions and believe me, it was a fabulously tasting ramen noodle.
Boil the carrots until semi soft but crunchy to your liking. Cut the broccoli crowns in half and boil until emerald green and place in cold water to stop further cooking. Why you ask because when you pour the boiling water in the ramen noodles, the purpose is to make the broth and cook (soften) the noodles. Make sure you wash the cilantro. Cilantro is always sandy.
Oh by the way, ramen comes in all sizes, cup of noodles soup (no room), then individual packages, ok because you'll need a bowl and then there are the plastic bowls, nice 1 person serving bowl. That's the one to purchase. Just add hot water and cover.
The shrimp to use may be the frozen cooked shrimp. Just defrost ahead of time based on the amount you want.
You created a simple, easy and delicious ramen noodles soup.
