You may think "there's enough restaurant guide books or on-line services. True and these restaurant guide books are so similar in terms of metrics, its how they want to interpret the data. But the data is based on input from actual customers and they are the ones that will be honest and truthful. Nothing wrong with that. I'll admit I used them myself but my opinion of these restaurant guides is they base their review scoring on the final product, whether its the actual dish which they base on flavor and presentation.
Chef Woo Can Restaurant Guide 2020 will be different. Chef Woo Can believes that the chef or cook was inspired and influenced in creating his special dish. I'll ask to interview these individuals on what inspired the flavor, why the ingredients, what flavor did they want to achieve. My view is that the next generation, the Millennials are very interested in the story behind the dish not just the flavor and presentation. I believe strongly that knowing what inspired and influenced the chef or cook is just as important then the dish itself. Millennials and foodies alike are interested in this missing piece of the puzzle and will get their attention knowing what the chef or cook was thinking.
How it works. I'll be talking to the chef or cook first and introduce myself to them. I will ask them to recommend a dish on the menu (they will always recommend one that they are proud of) Ask them questions about the dish (what inspired or influenced them).
My focus will be on the food. Why not? your paying for good food that spectacular and fantastic. Most times these so called "Hole in the Walls" have the best foods in the world.
Of course the Coronavirus pandemic is putting a sore spot on travelling, but I'm deciding on what the best strategy to take, so bare with me and soon you'll see my restaurant guide everywhere!
